Follow the A30 down past Bodmin to the Newquay turn-off.
Take the off-ramp at the “Highgate Hill” junction, signposted Newquay A329 & Wadebridge A39, to join the roundabout underneath the A30. Turn right, taking the A39 towards Wadebridge.
At the next roundabout ¾ mile on, again follow the A39 towards Wadebridge.
At the next roundabout 2 miles on, turn left on the A3059 towards Newquay
Some 2¾ miles on, just past the garage ( still there in 2007) turn right on the B3276 towards St. Mawgan, Mawgan Porth and Watergate Bay.
Drive on to the T-junction (2¾ miles on ) & turn right on the B3276 towards Mawgan Porth & Padstow.
Follow the road & you will go downhill & round a sharp turn into Mawgan Porth at beach level.
Cross the bridge and a hundred yard or so further on, just before you start to climb the hill there is right turn that leads inland away from the sea. Turn right into this, with the crazy golf course/pitch & putt on your left.
A quarter mile further on you will pass through an ‘S’ bend and we are half a mile beyond that on the left.
