Pitch Sizes

Over 80% of our electrical pitches and 50% of our non-electrical pitches are at least 8m (26ft) wide. However, in order to ensure the statutory spacing of 3m between tents you will be required to leave a 1.5m strip down each side of the pitch clear of everything except guy ropes ( on the central islands a 1.5m spacing strip is also required along the fence line). This means that on an 8m pitch that there would be a "Usable Area" of 5m width in which to fit your tent (5m is wall to wall).

In order to help you, we have drawn up a table of MAXIMUM TENT SIZES to ensure that you will not encroach on these spacings with an oversized tent, but please note this area is the " Usable Area " of your pitch & must contain tables, chairs, gazebo's and all other items you bring. Above this, each pitch has a 2.5m strip across the front that can be used for car parking. On the central islands there is a 1.5m strip along the dividing fence for garden furniture only. Should you take a block of adjacent pitches, you may cross pitch boundaries providing you maintain a 3m spacing between tents. If you take 2 adjacent pitches for a single tent you may add 3m to their combined width.

Please note that there are 3m spacing strips on site for reasons of health & safety and these may not be used and particularly not for storage or parking. Please do not hesitate to call us if you wish us to pick a pitch for you.
